I write musicals because it combines my two biggest passions in life— making music and doing theater. ​I’ve always believed in the idea that “content dictates form” when it comes to styles and genres of music that my songs embody. That is why my compositional style and the genres I write for are so diverse. Though I compose for musical theater primarily, my most recent original musical was a score of R&B and jazz music, and used a non-traditional instrumentation and production style by combining theater with R&B.​ I want to continue pushing the boundaries of what musical theater can sound like, which is something I will continue to do so in my future projects.
